4-H: Creating BFF's

Hi everyone! My name is Jenny, I am 16 years old and I am a member of Montgomery County 4-H. I have been in 4-H for 4 years now and I love it! I just want to tell you of one of my many experiences with 4-H. Last year was my first year going to NC 4-H Congress in Raleigh. I went expecting! that I would just hang out with my county friends only. I had that mindset even when my 4-H agent told us to mingle with other people. But I really wasn't expecting to meet anybody that I would like. So I was shocked when on the first night of Congress, me and some of my county friends were hanging out on our floor and I saw some girls who were a little younger than me just kind of watching me and my friends act crazy! So I just went over to them and I started introducing me and my friends and then the girls introduced themselves. Little did I know that these two girls and I would have so much in common. Their names are Laura and Sarah  and they are from Bladen County. So we all quickly became friends and we have been friends ever since. It was really cool to me that I made such good friends at Congress when I really wasn't looking for them.

We always get excited when we know that another 4-H event is coming up and we all get to see each other again. I have made so many memories with 4-H. I have made many other friends too. I consider Laura and Sarah  to be my little sisters, because we are so close that even though we met only last year, I feel like I have known them all of my life! One thing that you can expect in 4-H, is to expect the unexpected! I call many of my   4-H friends, my 'Forever Friends' since we have vowed never to lose touch. Which I hope and I pray that we never do! Love you guyz!
